1. Summary
- We collect your email address and basic account information when you create an account.
- We use your device location, only while you are using the App, to show you events near you. You can decline this and use the App without it.
- We may request access to your device calendar so you can save events to it. We do not read your existing calendar entries.
- We store content you submit — venues, presenters, and events — and display it publicly in the App.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- You can delete your account and associated personal data from within the App at any time.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are stored only in hashed form; we never see or store your plaintext password.
Profile information. Any optional information you choose to add to your profile, such as a display name.
Submitted content. Information you submit about venues, presenters, and events — including names, descriptions, dates, times, addresses, links, and any images you upload. This content is intended for public display within the App.
Communications. If you contact us for support, report content, or submit a copyright notice, we retain your message and contact details so we can respond.
2.2 Information collected automatically
Location information. With your permission, we collect your device’s approximate or precise location only while the App is in use, in order to show you events near you, sort results by distance, and/or display your position on a map. We do not collect location in the background, and we do not build a location history. If you deny location permission, the App remains usable — you can browse and search by city or area instead.
Device and usage information. We may collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system version, App version, and general usage events (for example, which screens are opened). This is used to diagnose crashes and improve the App.
Log data. Our backend records standard server logs, including IP address, request time, and error information, for security and reliability purposes.
2.3 Device permissions we request
| Permission | Why we ask | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| Location (while in use) | Show nearby events, distance sorting, map positioning | No — App works without it |
| Calendar | Add an event you choose to your device calendar | No — only requested when you tap to save an event |
| Photo library / camera | Upload an image with a submission | No — only when you submit content |
| Notifications | Show reminders for Favorited events or Itinerary items | No — only if popup reminders are desired |
You can change or revoke any of these permissions at any time in your device settings.
We do not read, import, or store the contents of your existing calendar. The calendar permission is used only to write an event you have explicitly chosen to add.
2.4 Information we do not collect
We do not collect your contacts, your browsing activity outside the App, your precise location while the App is closed, biometric data, or payment card information.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Create and maintain your account and keep you signed in
- Show you events, venues, and presenters, including those near your location
- Let you save favorites and add events to your calendar
- Publish and attribute content you submit
- Detect, investigate, and prevent spam, abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms
- Respond to your support requests and legal notices
- Diagnose errors, monitor performance, and improve the App
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your personal information to train machine learning models, and we do not use it for advertising or behavioral profiling.
Legal bases (for users in the EEA and UK)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on: contract (providing the App and your account), consent (location access, calendar access, and any optional communications — withdrawable at any time), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, and product improvement), and legal obligation (responding to lawful requests).
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share information only as follows:
Service providers. We use third parties to operate the App. Each processes data only on our instructions:
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication, file storage, backend hosting | Account data, submitted content, uploaded images |
| Expo / Expo Application Services | App builds and over-the-air updates | Device and version information |
| Google Maps Platform | Map display, geocoding, and prepopulating venue information | Location coordinates when maps are used |
| Spotify | Artist metadata and images for music presenters | No personal information is sent |
| Apple Music | Artist metadata and images for music presenters | No personal information is sent |
Publicly. Content you submit — venue, presenter, and event listings, and any images you upload — is displayed publicly in the App. Do not submit anything you want kept private.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Noble Cloud, our users, or the public.
Business transfers. If Noble Cloud is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
5. Data Retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active.
- Submitted content may remain in the App after account deletion, in de-identified form with your account no longer attributed, in order to preserve the accuracy of event listings other users rely on. If you want specific submissions removed, contact us.
- Server logs may be retained for up to 90 days.
- Legal notices (copyright notices and counter-notices) are retained as long as necessary to document our repeat-infringer policy.
6. Your Choices and Rights
Everyone
- Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and its associated personal data from within the App at Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion is irreversible.
- Revoke permissions. Location, calendar, and photo access can be turned off at any time in your device settings.
- Access and correction. Contact us at contact@noblecloudconsulting.com to request a copy of your data or to correct inaccurate information.
U.S. state privacy rights
If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to request correction, to obtain a portable copy, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of in those categories.
To exercise these rights, email contact@noblecloudconsulting.com. We will verify your request through your account email address and respond within the time required by applicable law.
EEA and UK rights
You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for our database, hashed password storage, row-level security policies restricting data access, and secure token storage on your device.
No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify affected users and regulators of a breach as required by applicable law.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us information, contact contact@noblecloudconsulting.com.
9. International Users
The App is operated from the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the App from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to, and processed in, the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.
10. Third-Party Content and Links
The App displays information about events, venues, and performers gathered from public sources and from user submissions, and may link to third-party sites such as ticketing pages, venue websites, Apple Music, and Spotify. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Their policies govern your interaction with them.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. If the changes are material, we will provide notice in the App or by email before they take effect. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
